The After Prom Committee needs your support! 

What is After Prom?

After Prom is an all-night party offered to all KRHS Junior and Senior students and their guests. It’s provided at no cost to our students. Festivities include games, dancing, movies, food, drinks, and more. The party ends with the much anticipated prize raffle!

Why have After Prom?

The purpose is to provide a safe, supervised, entertaining environment that’s drug and alcohol free for students on Prom night.

Where is After Prom?

After Prom is held at our high school. We’re able to use the school’s facilities, which include the Commons area and gymnasiums.

When is After Prom?

Mark your calendars because Kettle Run has already set their date for Prom. This great celebration kicks off immediately following Prom from 12-5 AM on April 21, 2012.

Who puts on After Prom?

After Prom is not a school-funded event. It’s a parent- and community-sponsored event. So it’s up to us to make it happen. Everything we offer at After Prom comes through fundraising and donations which is why we need your help!

 

How you can help!

Join us! The Kettle Run After Prom Committee is a group of parents and community members who are committed to keeping our young people safe on Prom night. Whether you have a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior you can help! Do you have time to volunteer for a committee, chaperone the party, help raise funds or would just like to make a donation? We’ll find the right opportunity for you!

We have a small group of parents who have been working hard to make this the best After Prom yet! Now we ask that you please consider helping out at this fun event!

  • Important on After Prom:

    The purpose is to provide a safe, supervised, entertaining environment that's drug and alcohol free when many kids are not ready to "call it a night". According to the National highway Traffic Safety administration, teen alcohol related traffic fatalities rise dramatically during prom season.
  • Place: KRHS gymnasiums and commons area
  • Time: 12:00 - 5:00 am right after prom ends we will have dressing rooms available for the kids to change into casual clothing and they can check out their clothes before leaving. If they decide to leave the building or go home to change, they MUST be checked back into the school BY 1:00am ! The school administration will be checking in students and will not allow anyone to enter after 1:00am. Students may check out but may NOT return to after prom. We encourage students to stay and will be giving out the best prizes last!  Students must be present to win.
  • In addition to school administration and  parent volunteers (you?), we will have two Fauquier County officers, one patrolling the parking lot, the other inside with us!
  • We will have great food and drinks available all night long, the gym will be transformed into a fair like party with inflatables, casino games, photo booth etc...

At 4:00 am we will have a breakfast for the kids and all hands will be in the commons area for the prizes to be given out! We have some unbelievable prizes for some very lucky KRHS Jr,s and Sr's to win!  For example, a NEW iPad, dr dre beats, gift cards, a $500 savings bond for a Junior, Once again Country Chevy is donating a car to be raffled to a very lucky Senior! We have lots more and want everyone to have a prize, so we are still looking for gift cards, monetary, or prize donations. Please send any donations to the front office marked after prom.
