National Honor Society
Sponsor, Cindy Adrian
The Liberty Chapter of the National Honor Society was established in 1994. The objectives of this chapter are to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, foster worthy leadership, develop characters for all students, and render community service. The NHS here at Liberty offers tutoring in math and foreign languages to Liberty students, works with the Red Cross in sponsoring blood drives, helps with Habitat for Humanity, cleans our public roads through Adopt-a-Highway, assists teachers and students at Grace Miller Elementary, volunteers at Fauquier Hospital and the local SPCA, and sponsors the Breakfast Club where NHS members provide breakfast to our TMR students, making them feel a part of the Liberty High Community.
Membership is an honor bestowed upon the student and is based upon scholarship, character, leadership and service. Students are eligible in their sophomore, junior or senior years and induction is typically held in the spring.
