C.L. Payne Chapter of the National FFA Organization (formerly FFA-Future Farmers of America)

The National FFA Organization has over 500,000 members across the country.  The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Members of the CL Payne Chapter here at Liberty High School participate in competitive events at the local, state and national levels.  Recently, students have traveled all over the state of Virginia in addition to travels that took them to Indianapolis, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Philadelphia and Raleigh.  Local FFA members host the annual "Food for America " program which strives to educate area 4th grades about the diverse fields of agriculture. Our students also organize and run an annual fruit sale, a holiday open house in December and a Spring Plant Sale in April. Students who desire to join the FFA must be enrolled in an agricultural education class during the school year he or she decides to join.
