Club Purpose: The purpose of Model UN is to create a more culturally aware student body at Liberty High School. Since its creation roughly sixty years ago, Model UN has benefited students and teachers by immersing them in the study and discussion of global issues, while also helping to develop essential life skills, in both an academic and social sense. These skills include in-depth research, critical thinking and writing, public speaking, problem solving, conflict resolution, compromise, and cooperation. In Model UN, students act as ambassadors from UN member states to debate issues faced by the organization currently. Students  make speeches, create resolutions, negotiate with other nations, and resolve conflicts with the intention of generating international cooperation to solve issues that affect nations on a global scale.

Club Membership: Any student or staff member of Liberty High School is welcome to join the club. Students interested in international political relations with a desire to become more culturally aware would be ideal for this club.
