AUBURN BATTLE OF THE BOOKS 2009-10: Auburn's Battle of the Books club will meet from 2:30 until 3:30 every other Tuesday. The Club will focus on reading, discussing, and having fun with the 19 books selected for this year.  In addition to discussion groups, there will be some book-related games, acting out parts of books, snacks, and of course, reading. Commitment to reading and enjoyment of reading (and the permission slip) are the only requirements for joining the Club! So come to our meeting, and bring any ideas or suggestions for activities.There will be a warm-up tournament at St. John The Evangelist School on Sat., Feb. 27 (11:00-3:00)  with all students competing, and a final Battle of the Books competition at Highland School in Warrenton on Friday evening, April30 (5:00-9:00), with five members of our Club representing Auburn Middle. (If you are involved in sports now, but will be free later, that's okay - you can begin reading now and join us in our meetings when your sport is over. Our season ends April 30, 2010.)
