Hey Wildcats, I can really use your help with this. Here at AMS we realize how important technology is to learning. With that thought in mind, what type of technology would you like to see used in your classes? For example, IPad's, IPods. etc. This would be in addition to the laptops that we already have for you. Be sure to include the reasons for your choice. This will help me and our Technology Team decide what to buy in the future. Let your thoughts be heard! Best regards, MR. K. |
Let us know how you feel about school issues by responding to Mr. Kadilak's questions. Be sure to check back often to see how your fellow Wildcats respond!

Hey Wildcats, Thanks to all of you who submitted names for our Wildcat mascot. There were so many good suggestions that it was difficult choosing a winner. Ms. Helkowski and I reviewed all the entries and the winning name is "Willy". Congratulations to Kayla H. Aislinn M. and Robin N.! They each win a Auburn Hoodie and a photo op. with Willy! Also, free admission to all remaining athletic events here at AMS. Great job girls! Best regards, Mr. K |

Hey Wildcats, Thanks to all of you who responded to my November blog! I really enjoyed reading your comments. Now that our boy's basketball season has begun, our Wildcat mascot will be appearing at all of our home games! We are the only middle school in the county that has a mascot. You know why, because we are the BEST middle school, better than Marsahll, Cedar Lee, Taylor or Warrenton. So being the best we have to have the best, the most coolest name for our Wildcat. So, I want you to let me know what you think his name should be. The person who submits the winning name will get an Auburn Hoodie Sweatshirt and free admission for all of our PRIDE PARTIES for you and one of your friends for the entire year! Our Wildcat cheerleaders will help me select the winner! The contest will run through next Tuesday, December 13th. I hope I hear from a lot of you! And remember "IT'S ALL GOOD IN THE AUBURN HOOD" Mr K. |

Hey Wildcats, Now that we finished the first nine weeks of school, I realized I better get my blog going! I am so excited by what is happening here at AMS and it all starts with you our students! You guys are doing an amazing job so far. When I visit your classrooms I see some awesome learning take place. Our teachers are excellent and you are too. Maybe you didn't get off to a strong start, don't worry just remember: Always keep trying, always keep improving! I am so proud of you and in fact everything here at Auburn. From our sports teams, and clubs, our guidance counselors, teachers, you name it, how can we not be proud! Which brings me to this. Let me know what you are enjoying here so far, what are your favorite things here at Auburn? Are there things you would like to see happening here that we are not doing right now. I really want to hear from you! When you post to the blog, I will do my best to respond within a couple of days! Remember, "IT'S ALL GOOD IN THE AUBURN HOOD" Mr. K |
Hey Fellow Wildcats,
Sorry it's been so long since I've updated the blog. It's hard to believe that our school year is almost over. I know at times school can be difficult for a number of reasons. You may be having trouble in a particular class, feel a teacher doesn't like you, too much homework or the principal is a pain (I hope not but. . .) You need to know that everyone here at AMS genuinely tries thier very best to make each and everyday the very best for you. Sometimes that doesn't happen but you have to know that we have your best interests at heart This brings me to the topic for the final month of school. Share one of your favorite experiences you've had this year at AMS. What were some of the great things that happened? What do you like best and what would you like to see changed, suggestions where we can improve. Remember, you have to be reasonable! I look foward to hearing from you. Best regards, Mr. K |

Yo Yo Yo My Fellow Wildcats, I received some awesome persuasive letters from the 7th graders in Ms. Stanley's classes. There were some terrific ideas that we will begin the next school year. One idea is to allow students to have lunch outside so this summer we will begin preparing a picnic area so you can enjoy dining in the "great outdoors" here at AMS. Some of the other letters talked about school lunches and how we can make them healthier. I am in complete agreement with this and here is where I can use your help. What healthy items would you like our cafeteria to serve. One suggestion that I heard already was to have a salad bar! Let me hear your good ideas! As always remember "it's all good in the Auburn hood"! Peace out yo! Mr.K |
Hi Wildcats,
Thanks to all of you who posted to my blog. I received some awesome feedback about how much all of you like school so far and what are some of your favorite subjects. There were a lot of nice comments about your teachers which I will share with them at our faculty meeting this afternoon. I received a few questions on why AMS doesn't have a baseball team. Right now, the county budget is very tight and there is little money for new programs. Sports are very expensive. Perhaps in the future this is something we can discuss among the other middle school principals. On another topic, our PTO does a terrific job supporting our school. They have bought books for our library, document cameras for our classrooms, new equipment for P.E. purchased our mascot costume, sponsored our dance last Friday night and a ton of other things. Now, they asked me to think of something that would be really neat that they can buy for our school at the end of the year. Something, all students can enjoy. Well, when they told me that at our PTO meeting last Wednesday, I thought who better to ask than the students. So if you have any ideas please let me know. Remember, it can't be too expensive. Let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you. So in closing remember to work hard, play hard, enjoy school, we're Wildcats yo, and we're the best, we're Wildcats yo above all the rest! Peace out, Mr.K |
Hey Fellow Bloggers,
Sorry it's taken me so long to update! The first few weeks have been pretty hectic. Speaking of which, how has the start of the school year been for you? Write and let me know what's been your favorite thing so far this year, your least favorite or just your thoughts on how the school year is going for you. I've been working on my latest rap and I hope to unveil it this week at all lunch shifts, Friday at the latest. You're all going to love my new bling! Peace out yo, and keep working hard. This is going to be your best year yet! Mr. K |
Hey Wildcats,
Yo, yo, yo, whuz up? I know the past week and a half has been difficult with the SOL tests. There almost over with just the mathematics test remaining so hang in there. Just remember, to take your time and try your best! If you do everything will be just fine. Your teachers have prepared you well. No tests are goiing to psyche out Wildcats, we'll give all of them the smackdown and pass everyone one of them. No sweat! After our Memorial Day holiday we'll have things in place for you to vote on the new name for our Pre-game party. I'm sorry for the delay. One last thing, I would really like your thoughts on the following: Do you think SOL Testing is important, why or why not and what are the benefits or disadvantages of SOL's? Let me know what you think! I look forward to reading your responses. Peace out yo! Mr. K |
Hey Wildcats!
I hope everyone is enjoying their spring break! I'm here working today but that's okay, yeah right, how come I can't be off too! I'm calm now so I'll continue. Congratulations to Eion Keating for coming up with the winning name for our new computer lab, "Discovery Den". Great job Eion. Special thanks to Ms. Helkowski who worked incredibly hard to get the lab up and running. It's exciting to see our "Wildcats" already using the "Den"
I received quite a few suggestions for both our morning announcements and new names for our Pre-Game Parties. More 411 on that later.
Anyway, you still have 5 more days of spring break so have fun, peace out and keep it real and remember, "it's all good yo here in the Auburn hood"!
Mr. K |
Students, we've been calling our gatherings before special sporting events "pre-game parties" for too long now. We need something more creative and spirited. I look forward to seeing what you come up with this time! |
Fellow Wildcats, I hope you enjoyed your days off this week due to the snow and ice. Well, rest up tonight because I'm pretty certain that there will be school tomorrow! At least tomorrow is Friday! Talk about an easy schedule. Come prepared to work hard! I recieved so many excellent suggestions for naming our new computer lab. Ms. Helkowski and I had a difficult time narrowing it down to just a couple of selections. Now it's your turn to decide! Click on the Vote Now Here!! and let's get this finalized! Keep on blogging! I really enjoy your thoughts, comments and suggestions. I promise that I'll do a better job keeping the blog updated. "Yo, yo, yo, it's always good in the Auburn Hood" Peace out! Mr. K. Voting has closed... the winner is: DISCOVERY DEN!!! The den will be accepting reservations shortly!
Hello Fellow Wildcats, I like to wish everyone the very best for this Holiday season. Relax and sleep in! You all deserve it! I want to thank everyone for all the awesome messages I have received. The names you submitted for the new computer lab are terrific. It's going to be difficult for Ms Helkowski and I to narrow the choices down to a select few. We'll post three names for you to vote on when we return in January! I'll be checking the blog over our break so feel free to post! Happy Holidays, Mr. K |
![]() Wow are you guys creative or what? Thanks for all the awesome names! It was tough narrowing it down to just two. Be sure to vote as soon as you can! We will announce the winning name at the end of the week! Blog on Wildcats blog on! Peace out! Mr. K |
Greetings Fellow Bloggers,
I'm glad so many of you are enjoying the school lunches. They really are awesome, well maybe the Au Rotten oops I mean Au Grautin potatoes aren't so good but everything else rocks! Our cafeteria staff does an outstanding job. Be sure to tell them how very much you appreciate the great food. What I thought we would do is every so often have a student planned menu and we would include some of your favorites listed here.
Thanks everyone for blogging!
Peace out
Mr. K. |
What types of clubs would you like to see at Auburn?
Dear Fellow Wildcats! I want to thank all of you for the awesome ideas you submitted about the type of clubs you want to have here at school. We have begun to look at which ones were requested the most. After we do that, we'll see how many we can get started for this school year. I really enjoyed reading your suggestions! I'm so proud to be your principal and I know by us working together we can make a lot of these clubs happen! Peace out yo and keep posting to my blog! Mr. Kadilak |
