Welcome to the Fly like an Eagle and Little Eagles 1 Mile Fun Run web site!

The Fly Like an Eagle 5K and 1 mile Little Eagle Fun Run is a community event hosted by the PTO at C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary School. Our goal for the race is to promote health and fitness to our students, teachers and our community. Each year, the race fosters friendships, promotes teamwork and strengthens healthy family hobbies.

This year, our fundraising priorities include the purchase of additional sports and Physical Education equipment. We also hope to help replenish funds for afterschool programs that have been cut due to budget constraints.

On Race Day -- April 29 -- we will warm-up with a series of fun stretches lead by CHR Physical Education Teacher Jennifer Bird. Runners will enjoy a tour of the school grounds and the quiet roads of Fauquier County. At the finish-line, we invite everyone to join us for food, family activities and much more during our post-race celebration.
