SCHOOL BOUNDARIES
We are continually updating the attendance line information as new streets and house numbers are added to the Transportation Maps.  All street name and house number addressing is done by the Fauquier County GIS Department.  We have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information, however if you have a question about a specific address or suspect an error please contact Marilyn Doyle at Transportation.  You may reach her by phone or by using the "Contact Us" above.

Every address in Fauquier County is assigned a single base elementary school, middle school, and high school. There are no instances where an address is located in more than one elementary, middle, or high school attendance area.  The attendance areas listed are for the current school year.

 

Specific information to help you understand the text file formatting:

  • Date file was created is listed in the upper left corner.
  • All available schools for the grade level are listed under “Selected Schools.”  The 4-digit number in front of the name is the official code for the school.
  • Street Names are listed alphabetically, please pay particular attention to name spelling, type (road, drive, street, etc.), and finally mailing zip code.  Many “streets” have multiple listings.
  • S/D column refers to the side of the road for house numbers—Both, Even, or Odd.
  • House numbers in the 70,000-90,000 range indicate that we have no valid house numbers currently associated with the particular section of road in the Transportation Map.  In many instances, these are roads for new subdivisions where we have been provided the street name, but not the house number range.
  • Last column is the base school for the particular listing.
