READING PROGRAMS
11668/p154539622_6587.gif

Taylor Middle School participates in the Virginia Readers' Choice and the Piedmont Battle of the Books. Multiple copies of all the books are available in the library.  These books are labeled and are on display for  the entire year.  All of the books may be checked out by any student whether or not they participate in the reading programs.
Students participating in the Virginia Readers' Choice must read 4 of the 10 books in order to vote for their book. The library hosts a voting party complete with ice cream, cake, drinks and other goodies. We will also have a book give-away!  Our votes are counted with all of other middle schools throughout the state and the winner is announced in April.

Mrs. Reynolds, the Librarian, will be heading up our Battle of the Books Team this year. Meetings will the second Wednesday of the month. The year ends with a multi-county competition. Students are encouraged to read all 20! More information is on the Battle of the Books page.
