Ms. Tufts 

Ms. Tufts is the staff person of the month.  Several faculty members had this to say:

"Phoebe cares so much about her students! She is dedicated, kind, helpful, and considerate. She never seems to have a "bad day." Her bright smile and warm nature put others at ease. She goes above and beyond with care for her students. For her, teaching is truly a calling."

"This time of year is tough.  Staff and students are tired and ready to be done.  The energy level is running low.  Just when I think the day is dragging along someone pops up out of nowhere with a happy smile and a pleasant greeting...that someone is Phoebe Tufts.  I recommend her for Staff Member of the Month for her positive outlook and constant smile and energy she brings to those around her.  She is dedicated to helping her students achieve greatness and will go out of her way to make sure she has provided every tool necessary for that to happen. Phoebe is an inspiration to others.  Staff and students are so lucky she returned to Kettle Run High School."

"Phoebe is a tireless educator and extremely compassionate person who is very deserving of this recognition.  Phoebe has had the diligence, patience and phenomenal understanding to grace the math department during lunch.  Many others have attempted such a feat, but as in all things, Phoebe shines and makes us better people by her presence and still has the time and energy to be a most brilliant teacher."

Sarah Pfieffer 

Senior Class Sponsor, Debbie Embrey, nominated Sarah Pfieffer and had this to say, "As one of the senior class officers, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Sarah this year. I have also had the pleasure of having her in class all year.  She has always been ready, willing and able to step up and assist in whatever project needs to get done.  In a year with little support from her peers she has remained positive and continued to move forward to do try to good things for the student body of Kettle Run High School. As I helped Sarah remember the things she had done for her community service this year, I was reminded of her generous nature and willingness to help others. She is a unique student who will be missed. 

I hope she will be given this honor and recognition for all she does for Kettle Run and others.  I wish her the best in her future.  She will go on to do great things."
