Activities at Brumfield

Book Fair

The library holds a Book Fair twice a year. The fairs provide an opportunity for students and parents to purchase books, posters and novelty items. Funds from the sale go to the library. 

Field Day

Organized by our P.E. instructor, this is a fun filled day of fitness, not competition. All students rotate through a series of activities testing gross motor skills as well as stamina.

Day of Reading

Brumfield also hosts a Day of Reading. As the names implies, the day is devoted to reading. Students read to themselves and to each other. Teachers and other staff members join guest readers from the community and read to the students.

Assembly Programs

Brumfield offers an array of assemblies during the school year. The programs may include musical productions, dramatic performances, puppet artists, or speakers, just to name a few. Our assemblies are geared to teach as well as entertain. 

Good Choices Programs

Quarterly Brumfield has school wide assemblies to honor our students who had shown good choices in areas of behavior, homework, reading, etc. Small prizes and incentives are given to students if their name is chosen out of the "treasure chest".  The students can earn these tickets throughout the entire school year.
