ATTENTION FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - ACTIVITY FEE!!!!!

THE SCHOOL BOARD HAS APPROVED CHARGING A $25.00 ACTIVITY FEE TO ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS ($50 FOR HIGH SCHOOL) STARTING JULY 1, 2010.  STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR FREE OR REDUCED LUNCH WILL HAVE THIS FEE WAIVED.

Attention Parents and Guardians of our Student Athletes: 

In order to keep our student athletes safe, we are asking you and anyone you designate to pick your sons and daughters up from away game sites to please sign them out.  If you, the parent or guardian, want to have someone else other than you transport your son or daughter home from an away site, we are asking you to please send a note to be given to the coach before they leave Taylor for the game/contest.  We believe by doing this we will be able to make sure our student athletes are where they should to be.  Thanks for your help.

ATTENTION PARENTS AND ATHLETES:

We have received information from Piedmont Internal Medicine, 419 Holiday Court, Warrenton, Va. stating that middle schoolers (must be at least age 11), high schoolers and college athletes can get a physical for $25.00 .  If you have questions call Sandy Quesenberry, business manager at 540-341-7521 or to schedule an appointment, call 540-347-4200.  Bring the paperwork with you.  This great deal will last until the end of the school year (2009 - 2010)!!!

WE HAVE TO PAY TO ENTER ALL GAMES NOW!!!!

In the past, middle schools have always charged a fee ($2.00 for adults and $1.00 for students) to enter our indoor athletic contests.  We are in such a financial pinch, we now must charge for our outdoor contests also.  This is an unfortunate action that must be taken if we are to continue to enjoy the level of financial support necessary to fund athletics in our middle school program.  Thank you so much for your support and understanding.

Football and Girls' Basketball - August 16

Cheerleading - October 18 

Boys' Basketball - November 3

Volleyball - February 2

Softball and Soccer - March 28
