Welcome to the Warrenton Middle Guidance Department


School Counselors' Mission Statement

  We are committed and obligated to help each child develop his/her potential in academic, personal, emotional, moral, and social arenas, within a safe, learning environment. We recognize the middle school student as having developmental needs who may need assistance to move through cognitive and emotional stages in life. We realize children have diverse learning styles and need to develop strategies to address this diversity.  To help meet these needs, we become facilitators of positive and effective communication among administrators, teachers, and parents.  We strive to foster in each child a willingness to assume challenges and responsibilities where he/she will develop self-confidence, a positive self-image, and to be aware of the needs of others in their life-long journey toward individual aspirations and their contribution to society.
