![]() Health and Medical Sciences Introduction to Health and Medical Sciences This introduction to medical occupations is designed for students considering any of over 200 careers available in today's health care field-from physician to physical therapist, speech pathologist to registered nurse. Students evaluate their own talents, interests, qualities, and educational goals while investigating the exciting, ever-changing world of health care. Professionals from the community share experiences and expertise. Students learn about anatomy and physiology. Students become informed on current issues such as AIDS, medical ethics, new technologies and research, and societal trends. Students will become certified in CPR and first aid. This course is a must for students who are considering a health care career.
