SCHOOL DIVISION OBSERVING SUMMER HOURS
Again this year, in an effort to save money in utility costs, Fauquier County Public Schools has instituted a mandatory four-day work week for employees who work during the summer.
From June 10 through August 2, employees will work on an extended-day schedule Monday through Thursday, and all FCPS school buildings, including the School Board Office, will be closed on Fridays. Office hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, for the holiday.
The final four-day work week will be the week beginning July 29. However, that four-day work week will be Tuesday, July 30, through Friday, Aug. 2, in order to give employees a four-day weekend July 26-29.
RoadRunneRs are Responsible, Respectful, And Ready Leaders
Roadrunners are showing leadership by following school-wide expectations for behavior that is "Responsible, Respectful, and Ready" in various areas of the school and in a variety of school activities. Our 3R Behavior Expectations help students to self-regulate behavior and show leadership skills in the cafeteria, restrooms, lines, on the playground, on buses, and in classrooms. This phase of our school's Effective Schoolwide Discipline (ESD) plan focuses on teaching expected behaviors and recognizing and reinforcing students for exhibiting those behaviors.
