Second Grade Famous American Wax Museum -Rescheduled Come one, come all to the Second Grade Famous American Wax Museum. We have all new displays! You may see a president, one of the presidents' wives, learn about experiment done by scientists, take flight with our aviators and astronauts, learn about the thrill of sports from our athletes, become patriotic with our Patriots, or hang out with one of the other many people we have prepared for you. The students will share all their knowledge about who they have become. Some of these people may be people your students need to know or you can come just for fun.
When: Tuesday, February 11th Where: The Second Grade Hallway and classrooms Times: 9:00-9:30, 10:30-11:15, 12:15-12:45 ___________________________________________________________________________________ IDENT A KID PROGRAM Ident a Kid will be at MWES HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FEB 24, 2010 to photograph, fingerprint, weigh & measure your child. To participate, please complete the application form & send in your check on Feb 4th. There is no make up day. All information is confidential & will be returned with your completed Ident A Kid cards. Siblings are welcome on Feb 4th. These cards are for all parents & anyone who regularly cares for your child. Prices are: 5 cards for $15.00, 3 cards for $10.00 and 1 card for $7.00. Additional cards are $3.00 of same student. WIZARD OF READING PROGRAM The Mary Walter PTO is providing the Wizard of Reading Program to our school on Friday, Feb 26, 2010 . There is no cost to students Dean Alan will use magic, music, audience participation & other theatrical hi-jinks to bring the books and characters alive. Mr. Alan will share some interesting facts about how various stories were created. It is a fantastic show to get every charged up about reading. The program is basically a Celebration of Seuss. It runs 45 minutes and is suited to elementary school aged children and teachers.
