The Thanksgiving Holidays are over and we are all anxiously anticipating Winter Break! This can be a very busy time of the year and it is sometimes difficult to find the time to complete homework assignment and projects with all of the excitement in the air. We ask your help in keeping your little ones focused on their school work, while at the same time, enjoying every moment of this magical time of the year!
We were excited to share our students' success at the end of the first grading period when we celebrated many of our third, fourth and fifth graders earning Honor Roll. We are proud of all of our Pearson Pandas and all of their accomplishments so far this year.
Keep a copy of the Pearson calendar close by as there are many activities scheduled for both December and January. Our newly elected SCO is busy planning their events for the year and we are looking forward to working with this enthusiastic group. Our 5
grade chorus is practicing for the county-wide performance to be held on December 13
at Fauquier High School and the PTO and Destination Imagination groups are planning some exciting fundraisers prior to Winter Break. Our boys and girls are all practicing for the upcoming Spelling Bee and looking forward to our Winter Sing-a-Long on December 20
Be sure to listen to the radio or watch the television during these cold winter months in the event of a school delay or closing. This information is also posted on the Fauquier County website. We want you remind you to have your child at the bus stop on time each morning and to be sure arrangements have been made every afternoon to avoid having the bus driver bring them back to school as it very costly for the bus to come back and have our staff wait for you to arrive. We realize there are sometimes unforeseen circumstances and we are glad to work with you whenever necessary, however, we are very concerned with the number of children being brought back to the school each day and we are asking your cooperation in this matter.
Have fun and make lots of memories during these cold winter months with your children. Take a little time to read a special story with them and make a special meal for your family together!
