The first grading period sure did fly by at H. M. Pearson Elementary School!  Our students are working hard in all of their classes and are already accumulating AR points at a fast pace.  Math continues to an instructional focus again this year so please be sure to take the time to integrate this subject into your daily activities so the children can see the practical side of numbers. 

Even though we have been busy learning so much new information these first weeks of school, we have also had lots of opportunities to enjoy ourselves in events like the Fall Family Fun Walk, the 5 ^th grade trip to the 4-H Camp in Front Royal, and Fall Fun Day. 

Be sure to keep the November calendar in a handy spot because we have a lot of exciting events coming this month.  We especially look forward to seeing you all at our Parent Conference Day on November 11 ^th .  Try to find the opportunity to stop by for lunch with your child or to read a special book to a class.

Strategic Planning Process

During October an Action Team will be formed for each strategy, and November through March these teams will develop action plans, which are specific activities that will enable the school division to reach our stated objectives. 

Membership on action teams is open to the public and members of the community are encouraged to become involved by completing an application which is located on the FCPS website.
