What is the difference between an IT, an ITRT, and a Computer Rep?
Ø The IT (Information Technician) sets-up computer hardware and initial software, insures software is working correctly at installation, repairs equipment, updates and resolves systems and network problems. Sets up for SOL online testing and makes sure equipment and network are ready.
Ø The ITRT (Instructional Technology Resource Teacher) is available to help teachers in every subject area integrate technology into their lessons. ITRT trains students and teachers for online testing.
Ø The Computer Rep does basic trouble-shooting and reports problems to the IT. Makes sure any problems with equipment used for online testing have been reported and resolved prior to SOL set-up. Assists with collection of inventory data.
