Auburn student drop- off procedures
This message is being sent out in an effort to improve the student drop-off process which occurs each morning here at Auburn Middle School. It is a known fact that our school experiences a high number of parents dropping off students in the morning and the recent stretch of cold weather has only added to the existing high volume. We are requesting parents, who are dropping off students in the morning, proceed all the way to the top of the student drop off line before students exit vehicles. In addition to sending this message, we will also be making a concerted effort to place staff members, including our school resource officer, in better proximity to the drop off line in order to assist/remind parents of this expectation. We hope that by working together we can improve upon the process while at the same time keeping our students safe.
Your cooperation and compliance is greatly appreciated.

Fauquier County Public Schools will use banked hours to make up for the next five days missed due to inclement weather. Superintendent Dr. David Jeck announced the plan at the February 18 School Board meeting. Banked hours are instructional hours accrued beyond the state requirement and may be used to offset days missed.
Fauquier County Public Schools career and technical education (CTE) and high school elective programs will host eighth-graders at the Academic and Career Fair on Feb. 26, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Fauquier High School. Students will rotate through 14 CTE areas and seven academic areas to learn about the courses available to them as they enter high school.
