SOL Practice Tests/FAQs Page
The Standards of Learning (SOL) for Virginia Public Schools establish minimum expectations for what students should know and be able to do at the end of each grade or course in English, mathematics, science, history/social science and other subjects. SOL tests in reading, writing, mathematics, science and history/social science measure the success of students in meeting the Board of Education’s expectations for learning and achievement.
In the links below are copies of past SOL tests which have now been released by the DOE. It is very useful to take the practice SOL test in addition to receiving teacher remediation.
See your Counselor ASAP for more info on make-up SOL remediation dates, locations and other resources.
A reminder to students and parents that all students who graduate from a Virginia public school must earn a minimum number of verified credits. Please visit VA Dept of Education for frequently asked questions concerning the Virginia SOL graduation requirements.
