Tracey Paige Memorial Scholarship

  • This year we are going to have a different Spirit Day every month, not only to promote school spirit but also community service.  Each month has a designated day for the students to dress up in an outfit fitting the theme.  In order to participate, the student must pay $1.00 to their homeroom teacher.  The good thing about the money collected is that it goes to our Mary Walter –Tracey Paige Scholarship Fund which benefits our students when they graduate from college.

The Tracey Paige Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 after the sudden passing of our colleague, Tracey Paige. Miss Paige was a kindergarten teacher who exemplified generosity, cooperation and educational excellence with her students.

Upon her passing, a group of her colleagues determined the best way to honor her was to give a hand up to former Mary Walter Elementary students. We established the scholarship fund to give money to Liberty High School seniors who attended our school and have been accepted to college.  As of today, we have awarded over $7000.00 to help our students.
