Instructional Resource

We're excited to pass along the following instructional resource to our families: 

Blue Ridge PBS, VPM, WETA and WHRO Public Media worked closely with the Virginia Department of Education to create “VA TV Classroom” to provide instruction to students in grades K-10 who are unable to access other distance learning options. “VA TV Classroom” will air instructional content from 1-3 p.m., Monday through Friday.  K- 3 instruction begins at 1 p.m., and 7-10th grade instruction starts at 2 p.m. (Earth Science & Algebra). More grades and subjects to come in the future.

VA TV Classroom can be seen on the following WETA channels:  WETA PBS Kids: via antenna 26.3, Comcast 266, Cox 801, Verizon FiOS 472 and RCN 38.

WIFI HOTSPOTS IN THE COUNTY:

We are excited to inform you that we have deployed ten school buses equipped with WiFi hotspots to locations throughout our community (see locations below).  Each bus has WiFi capabilities up to a distance of 300 feet. Students should remain in their vehicles to access the WiFi and are not allowed to board the buses. The hotspots broadcast the name “Kajeet SmartBus," and the password is smartbus.
