Self-Care Tips

  • Physical

    * Take a walk (and stay hydrated)

    * Stay in contact with friends and family

    * Enjoy some leisure time, which may include a variety of activities: do-it-yourself project, learning a new skill (crochet, knit), writing

    *Practice deep-breathing exercise or any relaxation exercise to relax

     

    Mental

    * Color or paint or write in a journal

    * Talk to others; stay close to friends and family

    *Set a goal: help around the house, set an educational goal, etc.

     

    Emotional

    * Talk about feelings

    * Have some 'alone' time for self-reflection and take time to talk to a trusted adult

    * Do activities you enjoy and relax
