  • P. B. Smith Families,

As you prepare for predominantly virtual learning starting August 24, we and our division leaders have transformed our traditional daily schedules.  We have created schedules that are mindful of students’ developmental needs, and strike a balance of whole group, independent, and small group learning. Each virtual learning day includes breaks in the day in the form of independent practice, brain breaks, recess, and lunch in order to reduce screen time.  We have worked to ensure consistency in predominantly virtual schedules across our grade-levels.  As we approach the first day of school, there may be some minor adjustments to the schedules below.  These schedules with much more detail, will also be sent out by your child’s teacher.

    First Grade

    Second Grade

    Third Grade

    Fourth Grade

    Fifth Grade

Additionally, during the week of August 31st through September 4th, you and your child will have an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher virtually and learn more about the logistics of virtual learning, including using your device and joining the class lessons.
