  • 'Farm to School’ Week Brings Local Meat and Produce to Cafeterias across Fauquier County

    Fauquier Reaches for Excellence in School Health (FRESH) is a Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS) program with a mission to maximize opportunities for students to engage in active learning, active living, and nutritional education. During the week of October 3rd, FRESH partnered with the FCPS School Nutrition Program to host ‘Farm to School Week,’ where children across the county had an opportunity to experience local meat and produce as part of their school meal.

  • FCPS Reaches All-Time High Graduation Rate of 96.2%

    Fauquier County Public Schools’ on-time graduation rate increased from 95.5% in 2020 to an all-time high of 96.2 percent in 2021, according to data released by the Virginia Department of Education.

  • Fauquier County Public Schools Recognized as a School Division of Innovation

    The Virginia Board of Education recognized Fauquier County Public Schools as a “School Division of Innovation” at its September 23 meeting. FCPS was one of five Virginia school divisions to earn this distinction for designing and implementing alternatives to traditional instructional practices and school structures to improve student learning and promote college and career readiness and good citizenship.

  • FCPS Announces Tentative Graduation Dates

    For planning purposes for friends and family, Fauquier County Public Schools is announcing a tentative schedule of graduation dates for the Class of 2022. The school division anticipates that high school graduation dates will be as follows:

  • FCPS Announces AP Scholars

    At the end of school year 2020-2021, twenty-four FCPS students were named AP Scholars with Distinction. These students earned an average of 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Thirteen FCPS students were named AP Scholars with Honor because they received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams, 61 FCPS students were designated AP Scholars. These three groups included high school students from Fauquier, Kettle Run, and Liberty.
