  • KRHS Announced 2023 Blue Ribbon School

    The U.S. Department of Education today recognized 353 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2023. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups on assessments. Kettle Run High School was announced as 2023 Blue Ribbon School.   • Fauquier County Students Earn Recognition from College Board for AP Performance in 2023

    Nineteen Fauquier County Public School (FCPS1) students were named Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars with Distinction in 2023. These students earned an average of 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on five or more exams. Eleven FCPS students were named AP Scholars with Honor, as a result of earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on four or more exams. Receiving scores of three or higher on three or more AP exams, eighty-nine FCPS students were designated AP Scholars. These groups included students from all three high schools within FCPS1.

  • FCPS NAMES KRHS AP & SBO Technical Budget Manager

    Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS) announced one change in position and one addition to the team at Monday night's (September 11) School Board Meeting. Dr. Amy Acors, Director of Instruction, Social Sciences, and School Counseling Services will join the Kettle Run High School (KRHS) administrative team as an assistant principal, taking over the position that became vacant when Mr. Mark Malloy was named Principal of KRHS earlier this year. Additionally, Ms. Malysa Rhodes, former Director of Finance at the City of Colonial Heights and Spotsylvania Public Schools, was announced as the School Board Technical Budget Manager.

    FCPS News Release: FCPS Students Enjoy Picture Perfect Start to the School Year

    Fauquier County Public Schools opened its doors to a new school year on August 16. Nearly 11,000 students were in attendance throughout the 19 campuses in the school division.
