Message to Parents & Guardians

Fauquier County Public Schools recognizes that a safe and secure school environment is essential to foster the academic, social and emotional well-being of students. The safety of the school environment, where your children spend much of their day, is a top priority for the Fauquier County School Board, faculty and staff.

• We develop and implement plans, processes, and practices to promote the safety and welfare of students and staff
• We partner with local public safety offices and agencies to enhance security and improve responses to critical incidents
• We train staff to foster knowledge, understanding, and ability to respond to a crisis or critical incident effectively
• We prepare staff and students to respond effectively when emergency situations occur
