Budget Information

The Budget and Planning department is responsible for developing the annual operating budget for Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS). This obligation is outlined in the Code of Virginia, which requires the FCPS Superintendent to submit an estimate of the funds needed for the upcoming fiscal year to sustain and enhance the quality of public education provided by the schools to the School Board.

This process is fundamental in ensuring that the schools have the necessary financial resources to meet the needs of students, teachers, and staff, as well as to support various educational programs and initiatives.
