Summer Meals

School is out, but summer meals are in. The Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS) School Nutrition Department is offering free meals to children through the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

Meal kits will be distributed to children at no cost. The program is open to all children ages 2 to 18, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), age or disability. There is no discrimination during meal service.

Meal distribution will take place Mondays through Thursdays from June 10 through July 24, excluding June 19. Kits will include both breakfast and lunch for the day. Thursday distributions will include meals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Meal Distribution Sites and Times:

  • Salem Avenue (at the townhomes), Marshall – 11 to 11:15 a.m.

  • Frost Street cul-de-sac (Marshall Townhomes), Marshall – 11:20 to 11:35 a.m.

  • Marshall Community Center Library, Marshall – 11:40 to 11:55 a.m.

Meal kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meal Pick-Up Guidelines:
Children are encouraged to attend in person. If a parent or guardian is picking up meals without the child, they must present proof that the child is eligible. Acceptable forms of identification include, but are not limited to:

  • Student ID card

  • Report card

  • Health insurance card with the child’s name and date of birth

  • Any other document that reasonably identifies the child’s name and age

The process is designed to be simple and respectful. No invasive questions will be asked.
