The Fauquier Education Foundation (FEF) recently launched its inaugural fundraising initiative, “Your $180: Fueling a Year of Educational Excellence.” The campaign invites the Fauquier community—individuals and businesses—to support local students and teachers by donating $180, or $15 a month, highlighting the impact a “dollar a day for every school day” can have on learning experiences in Fauquier County Public Schools.

The campaign emphasizes that small, consistent donations can create a powerful collective effect. Every $180 contribution supports FEF programs, including annual professional development grants for educators, as well as planned initiatives such as field trip grants and other programs that enhance educational opportunities for FCPS students. The campaign goal is to raise at least $75,000.

“We believe that investing in education strengthens our entire Fauquier community,” said FCPS Superintendent Dr. Major Warner, who was the first to donate. “This campaign makes it easy for everyone to contribute to the success of our schools. Just $1 a day during the school year can make a tangible difference in the lives of our students and provide crucial support for our dedicated educators.”

The $180 campaign is designed to be affordable. While all donations are appreciated, breaking the total into $15 monthly payments makes participation accessible while remaining impactful. Broad community support can generate significant funds that will sustain the foundation’s operations and ongoing initiatives.
