LHS graduates

The Class of 2025 gathered with family, friends and faculty to celebrate a milestone years in the making. Though a light drizzle fell through the evening, it couldn’t dampen the excitement and pride filling Jiffy Lube Live as 935 graduates received their diplomas and stepped confidently into their futures.

On May 22, seniors from Kettle Run, Fauquier and Liberty high schools transformed the amphitheater into a sea of celebration. The energy was contagious as each graduate walked across the stage — the culmination of years filled with dedication, late-night study sessions and countless achievements both in and out of the classroom. Loved ones waved handmade signs, captured photos and cheered loudly for every name called, creating an atmosphere of warmth despite the cool, cloudy evening.

Earlier in the month, on May 16, Southeastern Alternative School held its own intimate ceremony on campus, honoring 14 graduates whose journeys to this day were marked by determination and heart. That smaller celebration perfectly reflected the school’s close-knit community and the unique paths each student traveled to reach this milestone.

The story of this class is one of ambition and diverse dreams. Nearly 40% will pursue four-year college degrees, 24% have chosen community colleges to start their higher education, 7% are heading to trade or vocational schools, 4.5% are joining the military, and 22% are stepping directly into the workforce, ready to contribute their talents.

As hundreds of caps soared into the misty sky at the end of each ceremony, they carried with them the stories of resilience, growth and the unwavering support of the Fauquier County community that helped shape these graduates.

The Class of 2025 leaves behind a legacy of leadership, perseverance and school spirit. They’ve shown that success takes many forms, and every path forward reflects the strong foundation and values instilled throughout their years in Fauquier County Public Schools.

Congratulations, Class of 2025. Your community is proud of all you’ve accomplished, and the best chapters of your story are still ahead.
