Mountain Vista Governor’s School (MVGS) has announced that applications are now open for the 2026-2027 school year. This regional program offers exceptional opportunities for academically talented and highly motivated students entering grades 10-12, featuring a dynamic, college-level curriculum in science, mathematics, humanities, and research.

Application Details

Students should complete their application packets and email them to their school counselor. Recommendation forms should be completed by the recommender and emailed directly to the student’s counselor.

MVGS primarily serves incoming sophomores, but current sophomores and juniors may apply depending on space availability.

  • What: Learn more about MVGS and the application process

  • When: Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, at 6 p.m.

  • Where: Virtual (link will be provided on the MVGS website after the holiday break: www.mvgshome.org)

The chat feature will allow participants to ask questions. Topics include the application process, benefits of attending MVGS, curriculum, Flex Days, and meeting the staff.
