Brumfield Elementary School is proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of six young artists who were named finalists in the Horner Street Mural Design Contest, hosted by the Warrenton Arts Commission. Selected from over 700 entries, the students’ remarkable artwork will serve as inspiration for a professional muralist tasked with creating a stunning new mural for Warrenton.

The talented finalists—Cecily, Chase, Nora, Hazel, Silas, and Nevaeh—have showcased their creativity and artistic vision through their impressive submissions. Their designs stood out among a highly competitive pool of entries, reflecting both their skill and unique perspectives.

On November 12, 2024, these young artists were honored during a special ceremony by Warrenton’s mayor and town council. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to the arts and the local community.

This exciting achievement underscores the importance of arts education and the powerful role it plays in fostering creativity and self-expression in young learners.
