Kettle Run High School’s Economic and Personal Finance teachers—Mr. Delmar Christian, Mr. Mark Frazier, and Mr. Michael Pickett—have once again demonstrated excellence in financial education! For the second consecutive year, Kettle Run has earned the prestigious Blue Star School Award in Personal Finance, a recognition granted to schools where a significant percentage of students achieve high passing rates on the W!se Financial Literacy Certification Test.
The Certification Test is a key component of W!se’s nationally acclaimed Financial Literacy Certification program, which provides instructional resources, a curriculum aligned with national and state standards, and a rigorous assessment to measure student proficiency in personal finance. Schools participating in the program integrate financial literacy instruction into their courses and administer the Test to evaluate students' understanding of essential financial concepts.
“We are thrilled to recognize these exceptional Blue Star Schools for their commitment to financial literacy,” said David Anderson, President and CEO of W!se. “It’s especially inspiring to see our Platinum Star Schools excel, setting a shining example in personal finance education. Your dedication is creating brighter futures for students across the nation.”
Congratulations to Mr. Christian, Mr. Frazier, Mr. Pickett, and the hardworking students at Kettle Run for this remarkable achievement! Their dedication to financial literacy ensures that students graduate with the knowledge and skills needed for lifelong financial success.
