FCPS1 Chat

A new way to connect with your child's teacher

FCPS1 Chat is an optional feature in the FCPS1 mobile app.

Chat gives families a secure way to connect directly with their child's teachers. Teachers may use Chat to share classroom updates, photos and other fun moments from the school day. Families can also use Chat to reach out to their child's teachers.

Important school and division information will continue to be shared through official communication channels, including email, phone calls and/or text messages.

Please ask your child's teacher about their preferred method of communication.

What can I do with Chat?

Families can:

  • Message their child's teachers directly.
  • Join group chats.
  • Communicate in their preferred language.
  • Receive translated messages.
  • See photos shared by teachers from classroom activities.

Communicate in your preferred language

FCPS1 Chat offers two-way translation.

Families and teachers can write messages in their preferred language. The message is translated for the person receiving it.

This makes it easier for families and teachers who speak different languages to communicate.

How do I get started?

  1. Download the FCPS1 app

    • Search for FCPS1 in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

    • Download and open the app.

  2. Log in

    • Select Log In.

    • Enter the email address you use for your Parent Campus account.

    • Select Next. You will be taken to your web browser.

    • Select Forgot Password.

    • Enter your Parent Campus email address again.

    • Follow the steps to create your password.

  3. Set up multi-factor authentication

    • You will be asked to set up multi-factor authentication.

    • This security step helps protect student information.

  4. Return to the FCPS1 app

    • Return to the app and log in with your new credentials.

    • Once you are logged in, you can select your preferred language and your child's school.

    • You must be logged in to use Chat.

    • You only need to complete the full login setup the first time. After that, logging in through the browser will take you back to the FCPS1 app.
