About Us
The Facilities and Construction Management Office (FCMO) is dedicated to ensuring that every school facility within Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS) provides a safe, comfortable, and conducive environment for learning. We take pride in maintaining and improving school facilities to support the academic success and well-being of our students, staff, and the broader community.
Our Responsibilities
FCMO is responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Assessing the condition of school facilities
- Developing and implementing the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan (CMP)
- Overseeing the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
- Supervising the FCPS Custodial staff
- Managing energy usage and implementing energy-efficient practices
- Overseeing construction projects for new buildings, additions, improvements, and renovations

- Power Outages
- Water Issues
- Pest Control issues
- Raptor system problems
- Custodial Supply Needs
- Building issues (i.e., leaking roofs, plumbing issues, electrical problems, structural concerns)
- HVAC problems
- Fire Alarm concerns
- Security Issues (i.e., door, camera)
- 800 MHz radios
- Door Access programming activation or deactivation.
- Site or Building Safety concerns
- Environmental Services(i.e., compactor and recycle containers)
- High Priority Work Orders
