Annual Screenings & Health Education

Our school health staff provides annual vision and hearing screenings for:

  • Kindergarten students
  • Students in grades 3, 7, and 10
  • New students enrolling in FCPS1

Health education is also a key part of our wellness programming. We promote healthy behaviors, hygiene, and personal responsibility through lessons, activities, and partnerships with families.

Scoliosis Information

In compliance with Virginia law, FCPS1 provides scoliosis education for parents of students in grades 5–10 within 60 business days of the start of each school year.
