School Board

The Fauquier County School Board is proud to serve our community by supporting and shaping the educational experiences of all students. The Board is made up of five dedicated members, each elected to represent one of the county's five magisterial (election) districts for a four-year term.

Guided by the statutes of Virginia and the regulations of the Virginia Board of Education, the Board’s responsibilities include overseeing and updating policies to ensure the effective daily operation of schools, setting goals and objectives that reflect the needs and priorities of the community, and providing clear guidelines for educational and financial decisions that impact the success of the entire school division.
