Superintendent

Dr. Major Warner, Superintdenent

Dear FCPS Families:

I am incredibly grateful and excited to have started my second year as your Superintendent. I began this new role on July 1, 2023, and am so excited for what the future holds for all of us. As we move forward through the school year, the goal will be to increase levels of engagement and opportunities to serve our community in a more effective and efficient way. Your students’ safety and learning will be the focal point of all that we do this school year and every school year moving forward.

As I shared in my introductory letter to families, we have an outstanding school community.  Our community makes it a daily priority to serve our students with an unrelenting sense of purpose and commitment. My promise to you is that I will work tirelessly for you and with you, to continue creating the learning environment that supports each and every student. As I move about, I am often asked what is the most important thing to leaders in our profession. I have said on many occasions, there are only two things that truly matter: are our students safe and are they learning? I remain fiercely committed to these priorities and our community as I move into this new role. You have my word that I will always keep the students, staff, and families at the forefront of every decision we make. It is an honor and a privilege to serve you.
