Partner in Education
The Partners in Education program fosters a mutually beneficial relationship between schools and community organizations—including businesses, military commands, faith-based groups, and civic organizations—to support students’ academic success and personal growth. These partnerships bring unique resources, expertise, and opportunities into our schools, while giving partners a meaningful way to make a difference, build community ties, and invest in the future workforce.
Why Partner with FCPS1?
By aligning school objectives with the skills, resources, and knowledge offered by community partners, the program:
- Enriches curriculum and enhances learning experiences for students.
- Strengthens schools' ability to meet individual student needs by extending teachers’ capacity.
- Builds a stronger bridge between schools and the community, fostering open communication, mutual support, and shared goals.
- Offers businesses and organizations an impactful way to give back, connect with future generations, and contribute to the local educational landscape.
Community engagement provides real-world context for academic learning, demonstrates the community’s commitment to education, and contributes to students’ preparedness for adulthood—benefitting both schools and the organizations that partner with them.
