The Partners in Education program fosters a mutually beneficial relationship between schools and community organizations—including businesses, military commands, faith-based groups, and civic organizations—to support students’ academic success and personal growth. These partnerships bring unique resources, expertise, and opportunities into our schools, while giving partners a meaningful way to make a difference, build community ties, and invest in the future workforce.

Ways Partners Support FCPS1

Partners contribute in a variety of ways—big and small—that make a lasting impact on students, teachers, and schools. Examples include:

  • Monetary Donations – Support classroom innovation, student needs, and division-wide initiatives through the Fauquier Education Foundation.

  • Curriculum & Program Support – Enhance learning in areas such as Career & Technical Education (CTE), STEM, fine arts, and literacy by sharing real-world expertise, resources, and equipment.

  • Mentoring & Tutoring – Volunteer to mentor students, lead career talks, or provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring.

  • Internships & Job Shadowing – Offer students opportunities to explore careers, gain workplace skills, and see classroom learning applied in real settings.

  • Event Sponsorship – Provide financial or in-kind support for student competitions, recognition ceremonies, athletic events, and school activities.

  • Classroom & School Resources – Donate supplies, technology, or materials to enhance learning environments. We partner with Fauquier FISH (Feed. Inspire. Support. Health.) to collect school supplies and backpacks for children.

  • Student & Family Support – Partner on backpack programs, food pantries, or wellness initiatives to meet student needs beyond the classroom.

  • Teacher Support – Contribute to teacher appreciation efforts, professional learning opportunities, or classroom project grants.
