     CABBAGE & BROCCOLI
    • Both are full of vitamins C and K, which help make bones strong and wounds heal.
    • Both can be eaten raw or cooked
    • The Guinness Book of World Records includes the heaviest cabbage, at 127 lbs. (62.71 kilograms).
    • Thomas Jefferson, an avid gardener, experimented with broccoli seeds brought over from Italy in the late 1700s.

     

    The FCPS FRESH Program (Fauquier Reaches for Excellence in School Health) has partnered with the FCPS Department of School
    Nutrition to bring menu items featuring fresh produce to the cafeterias! Each month, we will highlight seasonal produce on the menu,share fun facts about their nutritional value.
