Attention Parent/Guardian:
Fauquier County Public Schools has adopted a new instructional materials policy (https://go.boarddocs.com/va/fcps/Board.nsf/files/CMYQVP6882D8/$file/6-5.6.pdf ). This policy requires me to provide advanced notification of any content/book/resource utilized in my classroom deemed to contain sexually explicit material as defined in policy. I have evaluated my curriculum resources planned for the remainder of this school year, and currently do not have any such material that would require me to enact this step. Should this be the case or/if my lesson plans change to incorporate sensitive material, you will be notified as outlined, and provided an opportunity to request an alternative assignment if desired.
