Our mission in the Kettle Run Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that meets the needs of all students in the areas of academic, personal/social, and career preparation/college planning. We encourage students to be a part of the school community and challenge them to take rigorous classes that will assist in preparing them for life after high school. Our mission is to provide them with the skills and support necessary to become lifelong learners and productive citizens in a global society. We provide a safe environment and serve as advocates for students of all backgrounds while fostering supportive relationships with parents, faculty, and community members.
Our students are a part of an ever-growing society where diversity and multiculturalism are at the forefront. We work hard to ensure that all students become culturally aware and value the society we live in. We hope to build students up by advocating for them so they will advocate for themselves in the future. Our vision is that all students will leave us with a strong character and a high motivation to be successful.
Kettle Run School Counselors believe that:
~All students should have equal access to our comprehensive school counseling program
~All students can be successful
~All student's ethnicity, culture, racial, and special needs are considered when planning and implementing the school counseling program
The Kettle Run High School counseling program should:

~Support the education of the whole student body by creating and implementing educational programs that foster social, academic, and career development
~Encourage a challenging educational environment where students are encouraged to take rigorous courses appropriate for their abilities and interests
~Provide students the skills to be productive life learners and productive citizens
~Collaborate with other school, parent, district, and community representatives to meet the diversified needs of all students
