Our STEAM lab is coming together and there have been several exciting activities.  Lessons with STEAM buddies have already taken place!  STEAM buddies is a pairing of a younger and older student to work collaboratively, solve problems, research, design solutions, and construct.  Here are some buddy activities that have taken place:

• Kindergarten and third grade explored wind power through designing, building, testing, and re-designing a puff mobile/car.

• First and fourth grade explored structures, designed, built, and re-designed spaghetti and marshmallow towers.

• Second and fifth grades are taking a field trip to the outdoor skills lab where they will investigate bird adaptations and create nature sculptures.
