  • Updates on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

    The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to rapidly evolve, with two presumptive positive cases in Virginia as of March 8, 2020. While there are no reports of COVID-19 in Fauquier County, we have heard from families who are seeking guidance and expressing concerns. Fauquier County Public Schools continues to work closely with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) in monitoring the status of the virus and is following current guidance from the VDH and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  • Fauquier County Regional Science & Engineering Fair Junior Division March 14

    The Fauquier County Regional Science & Engineering Fair, junior division (6th – 8th grades), will be held Saturday, March 14, at Fauquier High School. The fair will feature projects from public and private middle school students throughout Fauquier County.

  • Eighth-Graders to Attend Academic and Career Fair

    Fauquier County Public Schools career and technical education (CTE) and high school elective programs will host eighth-graders at the Academic and Career Fair on Feb. 26, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Fauquier High School. Students will rotate through 15 CTE areas and seven academic areas to learn about the courses available to them as they enter high school.

  • School Board Recognized for Service in February

    Fauquier County Public Schools will join 132 other school divisions throughout the state to celebrate School Board Appreciation Month in February. Almost 850 elected and appointed school board members throughout Virginia will be recognized by schools and communities for their service and dedication to public education.

  • Liberty High School Teacher Receives IMPACT Award

    Fauquier County Public Schools is proud to announce that Carrie Linebaugh, mathematics and special education teacher at Liberty High School, has been selected by the Virginia Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (VASCD) as the Region IV recipient of the 2020 IMPACT Award.
