Fauquier County Public Schools opened its doors to a new school year on August 16. Nearly 11,000 students were in attendance throughout the 19 campuses in the school division.

Superintendent Dr. Major Warner visited every school since Wednesday’s opening.

“It has been an awesome start to the school year,” Warner said.  “I am beyond impressed at the level of interaction, support, and commitment to getting our students settled in and ready for the school year.”

Warner credits the “best staff on the planet” for the successful opening and thanked them for their willingness to “Be that PERSON!”
