The Black Student Union will have their first meeting on Wednesday November 18, 2020 from 1-2pm. Join the zoom meeting through the BSU Google classroom. You can scan the Google classroom QR code around LHS or on Instagram at @lhs.bsu20. If you have, further questions please contact Mrs. Davenport or Mrs. Schrank.
Do you speak French, Spanish, or German really well? Do you love Latin or Japanese? Students interested in World Language Governor’s School need to see Mrs. Niskanen in room 127 or Mrs. Dorsey in room 145 before Thanksgiving break for further details.
Any sophomore or junior interested in Summer Residential Governors School for the summer of 2021, please see Mrs. Henry-Sievert in the Counseling Office. This is an opportunity for students with common interests in particular fields such as Agriculture, Humanities, Math, Science & Tech, Medicine & Health Sciences, Engineering, and Marine Science to spend up to 4 weeks at a college campus in the summer. During this time you would be involved in classroom & laboratory work, field studies, research, individual & group projects, seminars with noted scholars, visiting artists, and other professionals. You may even be able to work side-by-side with research scientists, physicians, and a variety of other professionals.
Are you a 11th or 12th grade young lady interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)? If so, consider participating in the Women in STEM Conference through Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems this upcoming Dec. 7-9, 2020. Contact Mr. McCaslin ASAP if you are interested. Spots are limited.
If you still need to pick up your 2020 yearbook, see Ms. Miller in room 264.
If you need to order a 2021 yearbook, order online at jostensyearbooks.com or place order in finance.
