Cyber Security Academy Application and Informational Meeting

Applications are now being accepted for the Cyber Security Academy.  This four-year program is offered to incoming freshman who will attend Liberty High School.  The program will focus on the evolving and all-pervasive technological environment with an emphasis on securing personal, organizational and national information. The Cyber Security Academy will feature cross-curricular courses with a Cyber Security emphasis, workplace readiness skills and certifications, and Cyber Security-related extracurricular and co-curricular community activities.  Students can pick up registration packets from their school counselors.  Applications are due by April 22, 2019.

Parents of rising 9th graders who will be attending Liberty High School are invited to an informational meeting for the Cyber Security Academy on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, from 6 - 7 p.m. in the Eagle Room at Liberty High School.  The meeting will include an overview of the Academy and opportunities offered.  The Cyber Security Director will also be in attendance to discuss the program and answer any questions.  For more information, please contact Sarah Frye, FCPS instructional supervisor for Career & Technical Education at  540-422-7002.
