Vincent Gallo Sworn In as Fauquier County School Board Member
January 11, 2021
Today, Vincent “Vinny” Gallo took an oath to serve on the Fauquier County School Board as the interim Scott District representative until a special election is held on November 8, 2022. At its organizational meeting Monday night, the Fauquier County School Board appointed Gallo to fill the seat vacated on December 15 by Suzanne Sloane.
The School Board selected Gallo from a field of 14 candidates who submitted letters of interest and interviewed for the position earlier in the day.
School Board Vice Chairman Stephanie Litter-Reber thanked all the interviewees, noting it was a difficult decision as they were incredibly qualified and passionate. “We were all thrilled to see that many people care about our school division enough to come out and interview with us today,” she said.
The father of two children who attend C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary School, Gallo looks forward to “working to ensure a great culture and environment for students and community.” He will begin by attending the School Board Summit set for January 12 at the Marriott Ranch in Hume.
Gallo is a senior safety manager for CPG, a premier end-to-end data center technology partner. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Old Dominion University. While working for Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH), Gallo received the Compliance Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) designation from the Virginia Apprenticeship Council. As a consultant for one of Virginia’s largest group self-insurance pools, he has assisted hundreds of local governments across Virginia in advancing and auditing their risk and safety programs.
