Fauquier FCCLA Student Places Second in State

Mindy Hale, a junior at Fauquier High School, placed second in the state in the nutrition and wellness category at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Conference held in Virginia Beach April 7-9. For the competition Mindy created a family plan project entitled “Living a Better and Healthier Life,” which included a 10-minute oral presentation with a Power Point to explain her plan to the judges. As the second-place state winner, she will have the opportunity to compete at the FCCLA national convention July 1-8 in Nashville, TN.
